Rod Watson
 Rod is a Director of de Jager and Associates in Australia, and has joined the firm following a long career in Professional Services. Rod’s focus in de Jager and Associates in general he will pay particular attention to the Infrastructure sector – Transport, Utilities, Social Infrastructure (hospitals and schools) and the support of this growing sector such as project management and financing. Rod will also support the growth of de Jager and Associates People and Performance practice. The majority of Rod’s career has been spent improving the alignment between people performance and business outcomes through both enterprise leadership and building sustainable solutions for clients. Over the years, Rod’s capability has been delivered across several cultures and geographies.
During a career with DBM Inc, a global leader in career transition, lasting almost 12 years, Rod held leadership positions in North America, the Asia Pacific Region and global business development. Most recently, Rod was President, Pacific Region with responsibility for all operations in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Prior to joining DBM, Rod worked as management consultant with Towers Perrin leading projects in Australia and overseas. Assignments typically focused on improving organisation capability, restructure and change. After beginning working life as a Psychologist, the early part of Rod’s career journey focused on Human Resources in the transportation industry.
Rod holds a BA in Behavioural Sciences from Macquarie University and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business in the USA.
Outside of work commitments, Rod devotes time to his family, travelling with wife Katie, working with the community and watching others in their sporting pursuits.
