Prague added to IIC fold

PARIS — Confidence Human Capital of Prague and Bratislava is the newest member firm to join IIC Partners Executive Search Worldwide.
“Prague holds a strategic geographic position in the European Union, as well as in the ongoing economic expansion of Central Europe and we now have a strong partner in that market,” said IIC Vice Chair Martine Bournerias, speaking from Paris.
“With Confidence in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, BIGRAM Executive Search in Poland and Eblinger and Partner in Austria, we’re very well placed to assist any client planning to participate in the economic growth of Central Europe,” Bournerias said.
“We were looking for an international partner this past spring at the same time that IIC was working on developing a presence in this market,” said Jozef Papp, a principle in Confidence. “We wanted a partner with first-tier size and genuine global reach, as well as a collegial, highly professional culture. We saw what we were looking for in IIC.”
Confidence serves a total market of more than 15 million people, including 10 million in the Czech Republic and 5.4 million in Slovakia. Annual growth in Czech gross domestic product has accelerated from 1.5 per cent in 2002 to 4.4 per cent in 2004, Papp said.
Piotr Wielgomas, an IIC Board Member and Chairman of Warsaw-based BIGRAM, said the addition of a new member firm in Prague is a very welcome development.
“This strengthens IIC in Central Europe and that helps us to meet the needs of our clients in Warsaw and throughout Poland,” Wielgomas said.
